Dr. Groat is an expert cataract surgeon who employs superlative experience and all the latest technologies available to provide you with the best cataract treatment available. Cataract surgery is the only treatment for visually significant cataracts and is recommended when a reduction in vision significantly impacts daily functions.
Healthy function of the cornea is required to maintain the unique clarity of this layer, and therefore all vision depends upon it. When vision impairment due to corneal disease affects daily function, total or partial replacement of the tissue by corneal transplantation can often restore the optical clarity of the cornea.

Dry eye is the term used when the tear film is inadequate. When the tear film dries, vision immediately becomes blurry as this is equivalent to roughing the normal smooth front surface of a camera lens. Dr. Groat will evaluate your tear film composition and tear production to determine the problem and the best course of treatment.
