Cataract Surgery

Dry Eye
Dry eye is the term used when the tear film is inadequate. When the tear film dries, vision immediately becomes blurry as this is equivalent to roughing the normal smooth front surface of a camera lens. Dr. Groat will evaluate your tear film composition and tear production to determine the problem and the best course of treatment.
Glaucoma

Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery
Dr. Groat now offers bladeless advanced laser cataract surgery in Wilmington with the LenSx laser. The femtosecond laser is a cool (non-thermal) laser which can create incisions of precision and predictability not achievable with handheld blades. This software is able to perform several steps of the cataract surgery with automated precision.
